Claire Schleusner


My name is Claire Schleusner and I’m a junior in Chemical Engineering. I have previously been the outreach officer and director of finance for UMN Robotics and a member of SWE. My interest in robotics started when I joined an FLL team with several friends in elementary school. In highschool I was a member of FTC team 7152, Robot Squad where I acted as the nontechnical lead and a member of the programming team. Outside of school I enjoy reading, hiking, and skiing.


Isabella Kemling

Vice President

I’m Isabella Kemling and I’m a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Spanish Studies. In high school, I was a member of FIRST Tech Challenge Team 9890, RUBIES, which is where my interest in robotics got started. In college, I’m looking forward to continuing to volunteer at robotics events and mentor other teams, as well as taking advantage of opportunities to gain hands-on technical experience through student groups. For fun I like baking, crafting spotify playlists to suit any mood, and going for walks.


Grace Hansen

Director of Programs

I’m Grace Hansen and I’m a sophomore majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a minor in product design and management. I Became interested in robotics in third grade when I joined a FIRST Lego League team. In fourth grade, I helped found an all-girls robotics team, The Green Girls. My team and I competed in FIRST Lego League for three years before moving up to FIRST Tech Challenge, where we competed for 6 more years. Outside of school, I enjoy playing soccer, hiking, drawing, and volunteering with High Tech Kids at local robotics competitions.


Julia Schatz

Director of Engineering

My name is Julia Schatz. I’m a senior in Electrical Engineering and plan to pursue a Master’s Degree in Robotics. I was a member of FRC Team 3184 in high school and have been involved with the VexU, Ri3D, and NASA RMC teams over my three years in UMN Robotics. In my free time I like to do my own engineering projects, spend time with my friends, and do unicycle racing.


Jimmy Donadio

Director of Engineering

 I am a senior in Mechanical Engineering. I have been a member of the team for the past four years where I have also been project lead of NASA RMC. I have been involvedw with nearly every project including Snowplow, VEX, Mini 6 and trebuchet (Rest in Pieces), Ri3D, and Ri1W. I work at Heraeus Medical as a Process Engineer, and have also previously been an intern at Tesla. Outside of robotics I enjoy photography, biking, volunteering with High Tech Kids, playing video games, and spending time with my cats and dog.


Isidora Mack

I’m a freshman majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I started participating in FIRST LEGO League robotics when I was in fourth grade and I’ve been doing robotics ever since! I competed on an FTC team in high school where I found a love for designing robots and for mentoring other robotics teams. Outside of school I enjoy reading, watching Hulu, eating toast, and collecting cool posters.


Rose Lam

Marketing Officer

Hello! My name is Rose Lam and I'm a junior majoring in Graphic Design. My interest in robotics began in fourth grade when my friends and I started a FIRST LEGO League team called the Ponytail Posse. We eventually transitioned to FIRST Tech Challenge in high school, where I became interested in design and public communication. Outside of school, I love to volunteer at robotics events, play video games, and search for weird t-shirts at thrift stores.


Zach Godec

Business Officer

My name is Zach Godec, and I am a junior majoring in Management Information Systems. I am excited to continue working with UMN Robotics this year! In high school, I was the captain of FRC Team 5148 - New Berlin Blitz, managing team leadership and operations. As the Business Officer, I work to maintain team documentation and digital presences like our website. In my limited free time outside of school and work, I enjoy photography, playing piano, and going to movies!


Rachel Liou

Recruitment Officer

I’m Rachel and I’m a senior majoring in Journalism, with plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Health Coaching. I have been involved in University of Minnesota Robotics for the past year, where I have been part of VEX and Ri3d teams. Here I worked on mechanical building, video production and social media for these projects. In my free time I love to dance, sing, play the violin, and do tarot readings for myself and for my friends and family.
